Conveyors

Friction Roller Conveyor

The Accumulating Friction Roll Conveyor is the conveyor for your needs if accumulation for maximum part density is your requirement. Hardened oil impregnated rollers will allow you to transfer your part or part pallets directly on the roller. Using an inner driving roller and an outer slipping roller (which simply stalls under the part) allows parts to accumulate without damage to the conveying surface of the part. Typical problems found in transferring rough or finished parts can be eliminated with the use of an eccentric roller. This conveyor comes with a variety of styles such as straight sections, curves, powered carts, swing gates, turntables and removable in-line sections.

Zone Roller Conveyor

The Accumulating Zone Roller Conveyor was developed to allow parts to accumulate without any part-to-part contact. In other types of accumulating conveyors, pallets are required to keep parts from touching each other. Problems such as nicking and scratching finished parts are virtually eliminated with the Accumulating Zone Roller Conveyor. Individual driven zones control the speed and placement of each part within the zone, as parts clear out of one zone the adjacent zone powers the part into the empty zone. Safety is also an important role of the Accumulating Zone Roller Conveyor, as this conveyor does not allow parts to contact each other thus eliminating part on part pinch points. This conveyor comes with a variety of styles such as straight sections, curves, powered carts, swing gates, turntables and removable in-line sections.

Over and Under Pallet Conveyor

This is the ideal solution for transferring palletized parts with the advantage of accumulation. Parts are put onto pallets that are self contained on the conveyor. Frictional contact between the pallet and the continuously moving triple strand chain allow the pallets to move on the conveyor. Accumulation occurs when an escapement stops a pallet. The chain continues to move under the pallet ride rails, while the pallet itself is held in place for loading, unloading or inspection. Pallets mechanically lock into the triple strand chain to raise and lower around the corners at either end on the unit. Empty pallets are automatically accumulated because they hang upside down on the return chain, conveyed by frictional contact. The simple design of the Accumulating Over and Under Pallet Conveyor allows for any future part, process, or layout changes.

Indexing Pallet Conveyor

If your needs are for a conveyor that will maintain a buffer of parts for your production line, the Indexing Conveyor is just the conveyor for the job. Unlike conventional in-line conveyors, this conveyor's success is due to a bi-directional movement of parts. Upon demand, the conveyor can present either an empty station for loading or a full station for unloading to the production line. High up time and low maintenance makes this unit very cost effective. This conveyor interfaces perfectly with Robot or Gantry Loaders/Unloaders.

Vertical Pallet Conveyor

This conveyor is unique because it handles parts in a vertical position. Unlike conventional conveyors, the part rides on the tooling around the outside of the conveyor instead of the top of the conveyor. This feature allows easy side access to the work parts for a Manual Load/ Unload condition or for a Robot or Gantry interface. Available as Accumulating or Indexing, the Vertical Pallet Conveyor could be the perfect conveyor for your application. It can be used as a buffer for your parts or directly feed or take away parts from a production line.

Counter Rotating Chain Conveyor

For simple, effective accumulation of parts, the Counter Rotating Chain Conveyor is the answer. Parts or pallets ride directly on the hardened transporting rollers that are part of the driving chain. These rollers are freewheeling and allow the parts to stop on the conveyor while the chain continues to move under the part or pallet. The hardened transporting rollers simply roll under the stopped part, which allows additional parts to accumulate behind the stopped part, while the chain and hardened roller continue to move.

Flat Top Chain Conveyors

For simple, cost effective accumulation of parts, the Flat Top Chain Conveyor is the answer. Parts or pallets ride directly on the flat links of the chain. The chain can be made of either Steel or Plastic. As the part is stopped, or as it accumulates, the chain continues to move under the part or pallet. The steel or plastic chain simply slides under the stopped part, which allows additional parts to accumulate behind the stopped part, while the chain continues to move.

Blue Steel Conveyors

This type of conveyor is used when your part can use gravity to conveyor the part on a bed of rollers. The construction of the conveyor consists of hardened "Blue Steel" side members that are bolted together using aluminum spacers and hardened steel roller bearings. The parts are conveyed by gravity throughout the layout, literally rolling from one machine to the next machine. These conveyors usually require some type of "elevator" and "storage helical" (or Silo) to raise the part to a desired height so gravity can feed the parts to the next machine
