Used mainly as a buffer unit, The Clamping Indexing Conveyor can store parts on both the top and bottom rows of the conveyor for maximum part density. This is achieved by mechanically clamping the work piece to the pallet. With the part firmly clamped into position, it can be conveyed around the conveying sprockets to the bottom row by doubling the amount of parts that can be stored on the conveyor. Simple details to open the clamping mechanisms are added to the conveyor frame wherever access to the work piece is required. This conveyor interfaces perfectly with Robot or Gantry Loaders/Unloaders.
